Texas memories

A few pictures from my short visit to Texas in May-June.

The vacant lot across from our house, with curly dock and sensitive plant in the foreground.

Coneflowers and coneflowers.

Canals by the rice fields.

Sensitive plant up close.

A magnolia near our house.

The best and most neglected dog on earth.

  1. What breed is your dog? My children have been agitating to get an Alaskan Mamomet (?) whatever that is, yours looks kind of similar. (So far the paternal response has been No Way)

Love the photos of your family

  2. He's part Husky or Malamute (I don't know what the difference is) and part something else. The "something else" is what makes a good dog, in my opinion. Purebreds are never quite as nice. I imagine a Beagle-Husky as being a good cross, if I could get one to order. Juneau is not, nor could be, a good indoor dog.
