So it is possible to put in extra spaces by typing -- well, I can't tell you what I typed, because it will just put a space.

    When you paste to Blogger, are you pasting to the "Compose" tab, or to the "Edit HTML" tab?

    You might paste to the "Compose" tab, then look at the "Edit HTML" to see what sort of weird formatting stuff has been added during the cut/paste process.

    Or you could use the HTML code for a space-- &nbsp (I think that's it).

    Or you could type your post in Notepad, then cut and paste to Blogger. Notepad won't add the strange formatting issues.

    If you want a table in your post, google "tableizer." The site will translate your spreadsheets into HTML tables.

    It won't let me paste to Compose.
    Notepad works for some things. I haven't tried tableizer.
