I lived most of my life in Indiana, except for 3 years in Michigan. We had 5 children and lots of good ol' days (sheep, goats, dogs, cats, chickens, apple trees, grapevines, strawberry patch), and then we moved to Texas. For several months we lived in the same state with all the children and grandchildren, and even going to the same church. What more can you ask?
Now we're getting ready to go to Israel. I don't know how long we'll be there. I suppose there might come a time when I'll look back on the years in Israel and say "Those were the good ol' days."
I like music, plants, antelope, and language/s.
Hmm...this is going to be a pathetic attempt, but here it is: Waiting on the Lord is looking expectantly to Him to fulfill His promises of grace, help, and deliverance in His own good time.
Andrew Murray says, "If any are inclined to despond, because they do not have such patience, let them be of good courage. It is in the course of our feeble and very imperfect waiting that God Himself, by His hidden power, strengthens us and works out in us the patience of the great saints, the patience of Christ Himself."

Thanks a million, Caleb. I've gotten a lot of help in times past from Andrew Murray. Where is that quote from?
ReplyDeleteI, um, did a Google search and found the quote. :)
ReplyDeleteI find Andrew Murray very helpful too.
Does it tell what book it comes from?
ReplyDeleteNo, didn't even mention the book.
